Call for Contributions: Special Issue in Sustainability
Shifting Paradigms: Reimagining Human–Nature Relationships for Sustainable Biodiversity Conservation
We are pleased to share a call for papers for a forthcoming Special Issue of Sustainability (MDPI), titled “Shifting Paradigms: Reimagining Human - Nature Relationships for Sustainable Biodiversity Conservation.” This issue will focus on the urgent need for transformative change in how societies relate to and conserve nature, with a particular emphasis on behavioural, cultural, and interdisciplinary approaches.
Guest edited by Prof. Dr. Ann-Marie Nienaber (Coventry University), Prof. Dr. Michael Elliott (University of Hull), and Dr. Julie A. Ewald (Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust/European Sustainable Use Group), the Special Issue aims to explore innovative frameworks, empirical research, and review articles that address the social and behavioural drivers of conservation.
We encourage academics affiliated with the PRO-COAST project, as well as researchers from across disciplines and institutions, to consider submitting manuscripts.
For more details, please refer to the Special Issue flyer or visit the journal website.
Deadline for submissions: 31 December 2025.
We look forward to receiving your contributions!
